Students will present Sonnet 116 in class for a grade. Emphasis is on memorization, projection and articulation. Students should prepare to use Sonnet again on Friday for their Shakespeare Night audition.

Introduction to Shakespeare. Discuss William Shakespeare and his impact on theatre. Examine Sonnet 116 and work on methods of understanding and interpreting the sonnet. Students must memorize Sonnet 16 for the next class.

Introduction and Orientation Activities. Detailed review of calendar, rules and expectations for the 2016-2017 WCSPA School year. Students will be given the opportunity to meet staff and fellow students, tour facilities, and develop stratifies for a successful year. Students will assigned to their initial breakout session cohorts.
